"Once a cesarean, always
a cesarean," right? Not necessarily. While vaginal birth after
cesarean (VBAC) has been hotly debated recently, take a closer look
at the studies and see if they make sense to you. It may be very
risky to attempt a VBAC if you decide to augment labor with Pitocin,
or if you decide to use some other questionable medical interventions.
However, a natural VBAC is actually safer than a repeat cesarean
section.
